Undoubtedly the most elegant and best built of all post war Lancias, the Flaminia Pininfarina Coupe was the car of choice for wealthy Italian industrialists and movie stars alike. It is even featured prominently (driven by Marcello Mastroianni) in Fellini’s “La Dolce Vita” era classic “81/2”. Designed as the marque flagship to replace the aging Aurelia, it first debuted in prototype form as the Lancia Florida and was the personal daily driver of Pininfarina founder Batista Pininfarina for nearly 10 years until his death in 1966. In fact that prototype is on display at the current 2018 Turin Auto Show.

This stunning example, one of only 950 top of the line “3B" variants, spent its entire life being pampered by 4 Italian gentlemen owners until being brought to the US in its current remarkably original condition by a noted Bay Area collector in 2009. Prior to shipping the car it was extensively mechanically restored to the highest standards (including full engine rebuild) by Tommaso Gelmini of GPS Classic in Soragna, Italy. Tommaso’s work has won many top awards at Pebble Beach and Villa d’Este. It has since covered several thousand miles and drives beautifully - a perfect car for vintage touring in comfort and style with surprisingly spirited performance (highly equivalent to an Alfa Giulietta Sprint Veloce). Gorgeously presented in Ascot Gray over Buttercream leather.
