1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL

Complete with Soft Top, Luggage and Tools

This car was first registered on November 1st, 1961 in Stuttgart Germany. The car was purchased by a Mercedes employee and registered in his wife’s name. It was driven on a regular basis with the exception winter months and always garaged. The car was eventually stored from 1972 until 1993 before being purchased by a family friend from Augsburg, Germany. A restoration was done in 1995 by a Mercedes specialist in Augsburg, Germany. During the restoration the car was restored in the original color 190 (Graphite) with Red Leather interior. The engine and drive train were completely re-done and Weber Carburetors were installed. The interior floor panels were renewed and new seats and carpets installed. The chrome was either re-chromed or replaced. All instruments as well as the radio are original. The third owner from Herrsching, Germany purchased the car in early 2001 as part of a collection, from the owner in Augsburg and brought the car to the United States. Before he shipped the car, he had it completely serviced, the rubber hoses and tired replaced. In 2002, the 190SL made it way to a collector in Lakewood, WA where the car has been well maintained and a part of a private collection.
