JAMES YOUNG TOURING LIMOUSINE

 ID# 5 LVE 29

THIS PARTICULAR CAR WAS THE ONLY FACTORY ORDERED ALL WHITE PHANTOM V JAMES YOUNG TOURING LIMOUSINE BUILT. THE ONLY CAR BUILT WITHOUT A DIVISION WINDOW. THIS CAR COMES WITH ALL FACTORY WORK ORDERS, BUILD SHEETS, MANUALS AND BOOKS.

The car was originally owned by Frank Kondos who owned Chicago’s most popular steakhouse, The Clarmont. When Kondos decided he wanted a One-Of-A-Kind Rolls Royce Phantom V, he contacted John McCombe, then a saleman for Lex Mayer Chevrolet, the Columbus agency for Rolls Royce Ltd. Because every Rolls Royce were built by hand and to specifications of the buyer, it took a full year before delivery to Kondos. He wanted a Rolls that was all white: paint, steering, wheel, steering column, carpets, a white fur rug. Everything white expect the noted chrome grill and inlaid walnut woodwork on the dashboard.

In 1991, this Rolls Royce Phantom V was purchased by prominent collector, Michael Leventhal of Chicago, IL who had Rolls Royce experts Vantage Motorworks complete a full restoration. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a One-Off Rolls Royce Phantom V.
